"The coolest new happening in L.A. is the Bluebird Reading organized by the poet Jessica Ceballos. Went to the March installment this Sunday, at the Avenue 50 Gallery, and heard some amazing work from Mandy Kahn and Chiwan Choi (who had my compañera Virginia Espino and I in tears). And from Brendan Constantine, who read a line I'd like to put in the epigraph of a book one day: "The saddest facts are evidence of joy." Lovely work from Ryan Nance too. And many more in the open mike that followed the featured poets. Really a wonderful event and thanks Jessica for the invite."  - Hector Tobar (Writer, Novelist, Pulitzer Prize winning Jounalist) March 2013
